Pentacle’s keystone management support programs Help Desk® and Back Office are about to complete another successful program cycle. Working with 12 organizations in Los Angeles, 4 in San Francisco and 7 in Chicago, participants have worked closely with their mentors on articulating and reaching individualized infrastructure goals. Back Office participants work with management staff to solidify and strengthen their administration. As Donna Sternberg, Artistic Director of Donna Sternberg & Dancers says: “Back Office has enabled me to go beyond putting out the many immediate ‘fires’ and research longer range projects and topics that are important to the growth of my company.”
Pentacle hosted its fourth annual Meet and Greet for the L.A. Dance Community on April 24 th. Co-hosted by the City of Culver City – Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department, City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs, Center for Cultural Innovation, Dance Resource Center, Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Pieter Performance Space, and Show Box L.A., the event was held in The Garden Room at the Culver City Veterans Memorial Building.
The Meet and Greet draws dance companies, choreographers, dancers, funders, presenters, arts administrators, and other stakeholders in the Los Angeles area dance community. It has become a part of the fabric here in Los Angeles and guests look forward to a chance to mingle and get to know each other better.
