On November 4th, a diverse group joined Pentacle’s salon conversation on strategic alliances and sustainability in the LA dance community. Attendees included presenters, funders, local companies, administrators, and special guests Dan Froot and Vera de Vera. The discussion challenged set notions of companies “needing” to incorporate as a path to sustainability; explored different ways of nurturing artistic vision and creative process while acknowledging  the importance of investing in a workable infrastructure; and brainstormed ways to share resources and goals through unexpected collaborations. The group continued the conversations long after the evening ended..into the parking lot and into the culture of the LA dance community.
