Where you can find The Roster Artists this spring:
casebolt and smith will be at Spring to Dance Festival in St. Louis, Saturday, May 25th and at the ODC Walking Distance Festival in San Francisco on June 1st.
Contra-Tiempo will be performing at the Dance Bistro Festival at Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, CA May 24 and 25th.
Kyle Abraham will be performing at the American Dance Festival June 28-29th in Durham, NC.
Nrityagram Dance Ensemble just came off a tremendously successful American Tour to rave reviews. They performed in Arizona, Hawaii, Utah, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York. Read their stunning New York Times review here.
Metropolitan Intersections on the Move:
Illstyle & Peace Productions is in the middle of an Eastern European tour to Belarus, Ukraine and Russia, as cultural Ambassadors for DanceMotion USA.
Jamal Jackson Dance Company will be performing for the Inside/Out Series at Jacob’s Pillow on June 19, 2013.
Pasion y Arte Flamenco just received $150,000 grant from The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage to support Nuevo Flamenco: The Galvan Legacy – a platform featuring the choreography of Israel Galvan as part of the 2014 Philadelphia Flamenco Festival.
Sheetal Gandhi is performing in Tampa, FL, for the Florida Dance Association on June 19, 2013.
Touring Support Awarded:
Bridgman | Packer Dance received NDP Tour Support in a total of $40,000 for a tour of their work, Voyeur in the 13-14 season. The work will be seen at seven different venues throughout the US next season with the support of NDP. In this 13-14 season the Company is finishing a NEFA Expeditions tour throughout the New England states with upcoming performances at The Yard, Bates and Stonington Opera House.
Reggie Wilson, Lionel Popkin, and David Roussève have each received NDP Tour Support for 13/14.
Kyle Abraham is finishing his NDP grant award cycle for 12/13.
