[1989] Pentacle’s Arts-in-Education Pilot Program

July is National Make a Difference to Children Month!

On this Wednesday we are sharing Pentacle’s 1989 Arts-In-Education Pilot Program, which introduced a ten-week dance program for fifth graders and special education students in three New York City public schools.

For over 30 years, Pentacle’s Education & Outreach programs’ mission has been to facilitate a broad understanding of both the performing arts and nonprofit possibilities for youth. During these past three decades, our programs have grown to include Community Program partnerships, In-School Program partnerships, as well as Career Development programs where paid interns are matched with small businesses and arts organizations.

Pentacle has made a difference for thousands of youth by providing them access and exposure to grow into the next generation of dance artists, arts administrators, and art lovers!
