Stardust, David Roussève’s “startling – and stunning” technology laden work, will be performed by his company David Roussève/REALITY on November 20th-22nd as part of University of Washington’s World Series. Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as a revelation, David Roussève (Guggenheim and National Endowment for the Arts fellow, and Bessie-Award winning choreographer) taps into the life of a gay, African American, urban teenager utilizing both Nat King Cole standards and the hip hop noted music of D. Sabela Grimes to “redefine the coming-of-age story for the electronic age.” Performances are at 8pm from November 20th-22nd at University of Washington’s Meany Hall for the Performing Arts.
