Founding Director Ivan Sygoda is once again attending the biennial Tanzmesse gathering in Dusseldoff, Germany (August 26-30). Tanzmesse is the world’s largest dance-specific convening of choreographers, managers, producers and journalists. Ivan, as part of the American Dance Abroad delegation, will represent American dance in general and members of the extended Pentacle family of dance makers in particular. Ivan travels to Tanzmesse thanks in part to the Arts Presenters Cultural Exchange Fund.

Following his trip to Germany, Ivan, having served as a panelist to select participants in a program of dance duets at SUNY/Brockport (NY), will attend Dance Duets in Brockport September 4-5. While upstate, he will participate in a public forum and teach a freshman writing class about ways to look at contemporary dance.
