For 15 years, Pentacle’s Arts Administration Internship Program has been pairing those interested in exploring the world of arts administration and management with individual artists and arts organizations seeking much needed infrastructure support. Many Intern alums have gone on to work at the companies with whom they interned and to have successful careers as arts workers.
Individuals Seeking Internships
Pentacle’s Arts Administration Internship Program seeks college students, recent graduates, or individuals above the age of 18 who are passionate about the arts, understand that arts is also a business, and are interested in exploring a career in the nonprofit arts sector. Interns are placed with a participating individual artist or arts organization that shares their interests and goals. Throughout the program, interns gain hands-on experience in nonprofit arts business practices, attend weekly professional development seminars led by Pentacle staff members and expert arts professionals, and form a professional supportive cohort.
Artistic Entities Seeking Interns
Pentacle’s Arts Administration Internship Program seeks individual artists and artistic entities interested in expanding their administrative capacity through a structured personalized internship program. The program matches each participating artist/entity with a college or post-graduate intern for 10 hours/week for a period of eight weeks, and works with each artist/entity to create a successful experience for all involved.
